Information Technology Team Member


Under supervision, this person will implement, administer, and maintain all technological systems used in the day-to-day operations of the Bank.  This position also offers support directly to employees with all technology issues and limited support directly or indirectly to customers of the Bank.


Administer and maintain the topology and interaction of all physical, logical and transport components of the technological infrastructure of First Federal Community Bank. Manage and maintain the individual components and hardware devices utilized in our systems network architecture, including VMware, Veeam, Site Recovery Manager, Windows servers, Windows workstations, Sonicwall firewalls, managed switches, PCs, printers, scanners, and all other software and devices used by the bank.

Install, configure, patch, upgrade and provide support for all software applications (Microsoft Office products as well as some proprietary applications) and devices authorized for use on our network. Provide top-level technical support to employee users of our computer and network systems. Assist in planning, design and implementation phases of IT Department projects. Manage specific projects to timely success, according to guidelines provided by management.

Assist with anticipation, prevention and resolution of security issues as they relate to technology, physical premises, banking regulations and/or operational procedures, including integral feedback in the development of appropriate Information Security programs, policies, procedures and systems to satisfy corporate policy, and regulatory and compliance requirements.  Assist in risk analysis for functional areas to identify points of vulnerability and recommend disaster avoidance and reduction strategies.  Provide guidance and coordinate the efforts of staff members in the development of recovery procedures for key areas of the organization.  Develop and maintain security administration procedures for all systems and technology infrastructure.  Manage security administration according to approved procedures.

Interact with 3rd-party vendors to ensure the systems used by the Bank perform to contractual expectations and to develop new technological systems and products to meet the Bank’s needs.

Perform any other duties as may be required.


Maintain a broad knowledge of current and emerging technologies, architectures, and products. Have the ability to rapidly develop any specific knowledge or skill that is required to administer and support those technologies, policies and regulatory requirements of the Bank. Have strong written and oral communication skills.

The salary offered for this position will be based upon previous professional experience in the IT field. Degrees, professional credentials and certifications are preferred but not required.

Experience with a bank or other financial institution network would be helpful, but not required.

Day-to-Day Tasks

  • Monitor and protect the information security of customer and bank data.
  • Monitor and maintain the health of the bank’s technological infrastructure.
  • Monitor and respond quickly to incoming requests related to any IT issues.
  • Administer and maintain computer systems and provide support if any system goes down.
  • Monitor, configure, patch and manage all firewalls, network devices, storage devices, servers, PC’s, printers, switches and other bank equipment.
  • Maintain user PCs, including upgrades, patches and configuration as needed.
  • Assist with onboarding of new users, and support of all employees with technical issues.
  • Install, configure, patch and upgrade PC software.
  • Interact with 3rd Party Vendors / Service Providers as required.

Required Skills

  • A solid understanding of cybersecurity risks and mitigation with emphasis on information security within systems and user devices.
  • Broad experience with computer systems, Server and PC support, and network management
  • Ability to deploy, configure, patch, and support operating systems.
  • Resourcefulness and quick-thinking nature to troubleshoot new and critical technical issues as they arise.

Daily responsibilities:

Customer Service:

  • Exceptional appearance and verbal communication with coworkers and customers
  • Questions/Concerns about customers’ accounts, deposits, withdrawals, debit cards, statements, checks, etc.

Loan Assistant

Basic Function:

Responsible for interacting with the customer to obtain information necessary to accurately document the loan transaction the customer has requested, evaluate the completeness and accuracy of the documentation, close the loan and ultimately fund the transaction.

Major Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Assists the lender with completing appropriate loan approval documentation.
  2. Request and follow-up on credit and collateral information required of customer to document, close and fund the loan.
  3. Obtain current credit bureau report.
  4. Order UCC searches.
  5. Order Flood Certificates.
  6. Request preparation of early loan disclosures.
  7. Contact appropriate title company to open title.
  8. Contact appropriate attorney and advise order is forthcoming – transmit information sufficient to document the transaction, if necessary.
  9. Prepare appraisal engagement letter and forward appraisal order request or evaluation request to appropriate party.
  10. Request appraisal reviews when appropriate.
  11. Schedule loan closings.
  12. Ensure all pre-funding requirements and exception waivers are obtained, ensuring compliance with both pre and post funding requirements. 
  13. Review all executed loan documents to determine completeness and proper execution.
  14. Close and fund loans.
  15. Perform system audits of consumer loans as needed.
  16. Prepare and obtain signatures on loan extensions and modifications.
  17. Prepare and process loan advances for lines of credit and interim construction loans.
  18. Prepare credit notices for denials and withdrawals.
  19. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to loan documents as detailed in the Loan Policy.
  20. Ensure that all internal and external customer service calls are responded to in a timely and professional manner.
  21. Perform other duties as requested by management.

Post Funding Review Specialist

 Basic Function:

 Responsible for reviewing all loan documentation, supporting loans extended by the Bank.  Assures accuracy of documents to bind and protect the Bank’s security interest.  Track and release collateral.  Investigate collateral discrepancies.

Major Duties/Responsibilities: 

  1. Verify the loan complies with the legal lending limit of the bank and the appropriate approvals are present.
  2. Understands complex loan presentations/board packages as they relate to documentation and collateral issues.  Able to review and comprehend credit structure, documentation and collateral of loans, including but not limited to, participations, commercial real estate secured loans, construction loans, lines of credit, asset based loans, leases, warehouse lines and agriculture loans.
  3. Determine borrower and guarantor legal classification and review appropriate entity documents.
  4. Ensure all pre-funding requirements and exception waivers were obtained, ensuring compliance with both pre and post funding requirements.  Review all executed loan documents to determine completeness and proper execution.
  5. Review and interpret complex credit approval information as it relates to preliminary title reports and entity documents:  participation documents, appraisal reviews, supplemental appraisals, environmental reports, subordination agreements and other supporting documentation.
  6. Follow up on filed lien perfection items and Title Policies as needed.
  7. Review and track for conditions, covenants and restrictions on loan approvals and other collateral related documents.
  8. Input pertinent information, taken from the loan package, into the loan tracking system. 
  9. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to loan documents as detailed in the Loan Policy.
  10. Ensure that all internal and external customer service calls are responded to in a timely and professional manner.
  11. Perform other duties as requested by management.
